1. Our Commitment

Peninsula Tile and Stone Pty Ltd is committed to making peninsulatilesandstone.com.au accessible to as many people as possible, including people who are blind or have low vision, people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, people with limited mobility or dexterity, people with cognitive or learning differences, and people using assistive technology.

We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-off project. We consider accessibility when we design new pages, when we add products, and when we choose the tools that power this site — and we take reports of problems seriously.

This commitment reflects our responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the Australian Human Rights Commission’s World Wide Web Access: Disability Discrimination Act Advisory Notes.

2. Conformance Status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the standard referenced by the Australian Human Rights Commission and adopted across Australian government and industry.

This assessment is based on our own review of the site rather than an independent third-party audit. It was last reviewed on 1 August 2026.

3. What We Have Done

Accessibility features built into this website include:

• Text alternatives on meaningful images, so screen readers can describe products and photography.
• Semantic headings, landmarks and lists, so the page structure can be navigated by keyboard and screen reader rather than by sight alone.
• Keyboard operation for navigation, menus, filters and forms, with a visible gold focus ring showing where you are on the page.
• A “Skip to main content” link as the first item on every page, so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation and go straight to the content.
• Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA targets for body text, buttons and form labels.
• Text that reflows and stays readable when zoomed or viewed on a small screen, without horizontal scrolling.
• Form fields with visible labels, and errors reported in text rather than by colour alone.
• Reduced-motion support on our full-bleed page headers, so background imagery stops moving when your device requests reduced motion.

We would rather be honest about where the site falls short than claim a level of accessibility we have not reached. We are aware of the following:

5. Compatibility with Browsers & Assistive Technology

This website is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on desktop and mobile, together with the assistive technology built into those platforms — including screen readers, screen magnification, browser zoom, voice control and keyboard-only navigation.

Older browsers, or browsers with JavaScript disabled, may not display parts of the site correctly. If you use an older setup and cannot access something you need, please contact us and we will help you directly.

6. Visiting Our Showroom

Our showroom and trade counter are at Unit 10/8 Henry Wilson Dr, Capel Sound VIC 3939. If you have access requirements — parking close to the entrance, help moving through the displays, carrying samples to your car, a quieter time of day, or a companion or support worker joining you — please call us on 03 5910 0888 before you visit and we will make arrangements.

Assistance animals are welcome. Showroom hours are Mon–Fri 9am – 5pm and the trade counter opens Mon–Fri 6:30am – 4:30pm.

7. Need Help Browsing or Ordering?

You never have to use this website to deal with us. If any part of it is difficult for you, our team can help you by phone, by email or in person — at no extra cost. We can:

• Read out product details, dimensions, finishes, stock and pricing.
• Search the range for you and email a shortlist with plain-text descriptions.
• Take an order, quote or sample request over the phone.
• Supply information from a specification sheet or brochure in another format.
• Arrange a time to walk you through options in the showroom without a rush.

8. Feedback & Complaints
